Stacks did such a great job advertising and promoting this very important 1975 no S dime.  Every numismatic journal had an advertisement for this coin.  As a result, this coin realized a price of roughly $350,000 shattering all estimates and breaking new records.  I believe this to be the highest selling dime for a Modern US Coin (1964 and after.) 

This is great because it helps all areas of numismatics, especially error coins, other no S coins like the 1968 no S dime and pattern coins.  There is a tremendous appreciation for rare coins.  Only two 1975 no S dimes are know to exist along with about 20 1968 no S dimes. 

As I always say, rare coins do not go out of style.  I do not care what the metals are doing, rare coins stand on their own and are priced independent of Gold, Silver and Platinum.  This point is proved every day and again during this auction.  Rare coins shine and bring strong results regardless.....
