I described the amount of excitement in a previous blog.  If you look at the pictures, you can see the auction room was packed with people waiting to bid on the coins they wanted.  The competition was fierce as many new price records were set. 

Looking at he auction room is only one part of the story.  The other part of the story is the amount of people sitting outside the auction room waiting for their lots to be auctioned.  This was a very well attended event that Michael Chou (Champion Auction) was able to coordinate.  As I previously mentioned, Majestic Rarities was very happy to be a co-sponsor for this event. 

Michael's idea of combining auctions with educational forums and a main exhibit section was very smart.  The exchange of information is so important to enhance everyone's knowledge.  Teaching and learning is critical to continue the promotion of Modern Chinese coins.  That is why we chose to fly the 16,000 miles to be part of this teaching, learning and promoting process.
