Since posting the first blog about the soft market, I have received a great deal of communication.  I neglected to include some important information. 

I conduct many transactions with a person BK located in the US.  BK wanted to know when I felt the recovery would begin.  Great question that I should have addressed in the first blog.

I think the Modern Chinese Market will start the recovery towards the beginning of November.  This is always a strong period leading into both the January 1st New Year as well as the Chinese New Year around January 23rd.  

This is usually a crazy sales period because auction bills have been paid and gifts for the New Year need to be purchased.  I find this is the strongest time of year for selling.  The Modern Chinese coin market should be ready to rock and roll.  By the end of November, things should be back to normal.  

Some coins were hit hard while others maintained or increased in value during this rocky time.  Unicorns have been beaten down and are poised for a strong rebound.  These coins have low mintages and are staple coins for every collection.  Now is a great time to purchase before the increases.  

Most, not all, large Gold coins have held strong.  This is a true indication that rarity does not go out of style and there are more people purchasing these massive, rare coins.  As everyone knows, this is the area I have focused for many years.
