12-9-11 | December 2nd and 3rd Hong Kong Coin Show
The December Hong Kong Coin Show was lots of fun for us. We were able to see lots of friends and meet many new people. The weather was warm, the food was great, everyone was so friendly and there were many great coins. Normally we purchase a great deal of coins at our table. The only items we purchased at this show were during the auction or sold to us privately, none at our table. It was kind of confusing why no one brought coins to the table. Does this mean everyone believes it is better to wait and sell at some time in the future because Modern Chinese coins are undervalued? This was also an interesting show in that we had more private showing of coins than any other show. We believe this concept will be the way of the future for selling rare coins. This was a very successful show for us. We can't wait for the December 2012 show. Changes will be made to accommodate more people and to keep improving to help the people who attend, consignors and dealers who choose to set up. This should grow into a very large event. Michael from Champion iAsure is actively helping promote education by having events like this This show had a very diverse group of dealers. There were Modern Chinese coins, paper money, bullion and vintage Chinese coins. There were very expensive pieces and very affordable coins. There was something for everyone. Please view the pictures so you can see the ribbon cutting, the amount of people waiting to enter the opening of the show and the coins at our table. Our next coin show will be the FUN Show in Orlando. This show is less than one month away. Can't wait to get back into warm weather! Come visit us at tables 1129, 1131, 1228 and 1230.
