The Florida United Numismatists (FUN) coin show is the first show of the year.  This is always a good show.  It's great to see so many collectors who come from all over to attend.  Then again, who would not want to escape winter!!! 

For us, this was great show.  What makes this a great show?  Being able to purchase and sell lots of coins along with making contacts with people who have coins they might want to sell in the future.  We were very busy with lots of meaningful activity.   

While talking with other dealers and comparing prices we pay, it was confirmed that we pay the highest prices.  This is why our display keeps getting larger and larger.  No one will pay the prices for rare Modern Chinese coins that we pay.  If you are not selling to us, you are leaving lots of money on the table.

We had two combined corner tables due to the amount of coins we display.  We showed many of the top 100 Greatest US Error coins along with Modern Chinese coins that had survival rates of less than 50 pieces.        

Error coins keep making news.  Auction prices for error coin were very strong.  Modern Chinese coins have been "hot" despite the more generic issues pulling back roughly 20%.  More on this in a separat blog.

Please view the pictures to see the incredible coins we had on display.  These were not for sale, these are part of our private collection.  We think it is important to support the market we sell by having a personal collection.  This means we believe in the items we sell.
