To give you an example, we sold 90% of the coins we came with on Thursday.  The show does not start until Friday!!!  The prices for great coins (mintages of 99) was insane.  These low mintage coins keep increasing as more are being taken off the market.  The Hong Kong Show really showed the stregth and depth of the Modern Chinese coin market.  Not just on the bourse floor but the Champion Auction as well. 

We feel pricing will continue to remain strong for several more quarters.  Eventually, there has to be a stabilization of prices.  Our advice is and will continue to be to purchase popular, low mintage coins.  These have proven to be solid and steady in demand.  Do not deviate from this advice unless you are strictly a collector and do not care about any variable except for satisfying your own collecting needs.  Do not be lured by others selling something different than mentioned above.

It was great to see all of the authenticated coins shown in everyone's display cases and in auction.  This is prime indication slabbing (authentication) continues to be widely accepted and growing.  The price for slabbed coins seems to be greater than their raw counterparts.  For the record, we are and have been the largest supplier of rare, authenticated Modern Chines coins in the US and Asia.  Please continue to read our blogs.
