The Hong Kong Coin Show opened today with a wild crowd of people ready to buy.  I have been coming to this show for several years, two times per year.  This is the busiest I have ever seen the show.  Everyone wanted to buy.  They knew if they did not buy right away, the next person would.  The lines were long and everyone was eager.  I can't believe all of the activity.  These are people buying on the spot, not looking or saying,

"Let me walk around a while and see what else people have to offer." 

If you did not buy on the spot, the items were sold to another.  I know this first hand.  There were several sets or coins I was thinking about purchasing.  When I went back, they were gone. 

I thought after the Stacks Bowers auction, activity would slow down a bit.  It has done the opposite.  The auction coins have been removed from the market and the market is still not satisfied.  People want more and more. 

There was not any one segment that was hot, everything was in demand; Pandas, Unicorns, Lunar Animals, etc... Gold, Silver and Platinum.  You name it, it is hot.  There were several people from the US who attended this show for their first time.  They have heard all of the crazy stories about the amount of people and the rapid buying.  They were able to witness this themselves.

I can't wait to see the results from the Champion Auction that is packed with many Power Coins.  I will review a few of these coins in my next blog.
