OK, I might have missed some very important reading material not mentioned in the first blog.  This has been pointed out by several people. 

I do log onto Kitco to get a snapshot of what is going on with the metals, stock market, and oil.  I am a firm believer many of the markets are geared (maybe manipulated) for traders.  Think about it for a second.  How can the stock market swing over 200 points in a day?  If everything is based on valuation and fundamentals, there is nothing that can cause these changes within a couple of hours.  Only the traders make money when there are huge shifts.  The people who buy and hold are just going along for the ride. 

Numismatic Crime Newsletter - an absolute must to learn what has been stolen.  Sooner or later these pieces will appear and you may be able to give information to help catch the thief.  You will also learn what the person did wrong so you can avoid being a victim.  Learn to identify potential threats.  You can inquire at Doug@numismaticcrimes.org

Of course, I read all PNG information and all of the numismatic coin dealer emails.  There are a ton.  The more you get involved, the more you will learn by reading the quick emails sent. 

I watch for ANA information.  If you are not a member, this is a great organization to join. 

I learn every day from the people who email and call me.  I am challenged every day with questions I don't know the answer.  Now I have to think and most of the time refer to different books to find the answer.  If you do not have books to use as resource materials, you should.  There is no one who knows every answer, no one!
